10 OMTEC 2025 Exhibiting Suppliers Making Headlines

More than 200 contract manufacturers, service providers and advisory firms will exhibit at OMTEC 2025 in Chicago this June. The conference is your opportunity to identify and engage with orthopedic suppliers that offer a wide range of capabilities, including product development, materials, manufacturing and packaging. Multiple exhibiting companies have made moves in recent months that expand their capabilities, increase their manufacturing capacity and acknowledge their expertise. Acrotec MedTech

Acrotec Medtech specializes in precision manufacturing of orthopedic implants. With advanced Swiss engineering, its collective of contract manufacturers offers cutting-edge solutions for robotic-assisted surgeries and complex surgical instruments. Acrotec recently acquired German-headquartered Mebus MIM-Technik to add specialty capabilities in metal/ceramic injection molding (MIM/CIM) to its portfolio. Mebus MIM-Technik’s expertise is focused on the design and variable scale production of small, complex parts with tight tolerances. 

AddUp Inc.

AddUp is advancing orthopedic manufacturing with its powder bed fusion metal 3D printing technology, which delivers high-precision implants and surgical instruments. Its FormUp 350’s roller recoating system and fine powder capabilities allow for smoother, high-quality surfaces directly off the printer to minimize post-processing and reduce production costs. AddUp recently announced that it received the ASTM Additive Manufacturing Safety Certification, becoming the first contract manufacturer in the additive manufacturing industry to achieve this distinction.

ANCA CNC Machines

ANCA builds CNC grinding machines that are used to manufacture precision cutting tools and components for a diverse range of orthopedic implants and instruments, including bone rasps, drills, reamers, mills, screws, bone threading taps and burrs. In late 2024, ANCA launched AIMS Connect, a job management and production control software designed to benefit tool manufacturing by optimizing processes. The software addresses the growing demand for smarter, more streamlined operations and has the potential to boost a manufacturer’s productivity by 20% or more. 

Croom Medical

Croom Medical marked its 40th anniversary in 2024. Leading up to the milestone, the company made a €12 million investment in its facilities, including the integration of high-tech equipment such as laser powder bed fusion 3D printing, automation systems and new machining centers. The company’s facility in Ireland offers lean, cost-effective production, advanced robotic automation and in-house design, testing and manufacturing to ensure complete quality control. A customer-focused approach accelerates time-to-market, increases production efficiency and maintains efficient supply chains.

ECA Medical Instruments

ECA Medical produces single-use instrumentation and sterile-packed, surgery-ready procedural kits for trauma, extremities, sports medicine, joint reconstruction and spine. The company partners with OEMs to develop validated solutions, accelerating time to market while enhancing surgical efficiency and patient safety. In March, ECA Medical shipped the first sterile, surgery-ready Revcon Screw System instrument kits to Voom Medical Devices, the system’s exclusive distributor. The instrument sets were designed for use in the outpatient setting.

Forécreu

Forécreu manufactures cannulated bars for the production of drills, taps, reamers, screwdrivers, IM nails, spinal, pedicle and trauma screws. The U.S. distribution facility holds stock of 200+ SKUs to support its large customer base with various grades of stainless steel and titanium alloys. Forécreu recently acquired Grover Precision. The purchase significantly increases Forécreu’s presence in the U.S. and adds Grover’s unique cannulated bar technology, outsourced gundrilling services and U.S.-based manufacturing facility to the company.

Intech and Resolve Surgical Technologies

Intech provides OEMs with a true one-stop-shop platform for 3D printing, extremities implants, surgical instruments, large joint instruments, robotics & navigation and cases & trays. Resolve is a provider of contract device design, manufacturing and lifecycle management services, helping OEMs capitalize on the “speed to revenue” model. Intech and Resolve are owned by private equity firm Montagu, which agreed to acquire Tyber Medical and merge the three companies. The combined company will offer a mix of proprietary market-cleared technologies and development and manufacturing scale.

HG Medical

HG Medical is a partner to extremity and spine companies, offering expertise in engineering development and manufacturing through its facilities in the U.S. and Germany. In December, HG Medical acquired PTU Medical, a contract manufacturer of drills, cutting instruments and implants with applications in orthopedic spinal, extremities and trauma surgeries. PTU Medical has built a strong reputation for its engineering expertise, high product quality and critical offering in the underserved bone drills market.

Lincotek
Booth 749
Lincotek Medical specializes in implants and instruments and offers “Concept to Launch” support, guiding OEMs from ideation to high-volume production while streamlining the supply chain. Lincotek’s expertise spans from design and prototyping to traditional and additive manufacturing to regulatory support, cleaning and packaging. In March, the company announced a new patent for a 3D-printed, customizable screw with an integrated lattice structure, allowing for quick bone ingrowth. The central shaft of the screw can be customized for surgeries on the spine, sacroiliac joint, avascular necrosis and other applications.

Vested Metals

Vested Metals is a specialty metals supplier with a wide range of inventory and an extensive global network to support raw material requirements for titanium, stainless steel, cobalt chrome, alloy steel, tool steel, aluminum, and high temp alloys. In late 2024, the company opened a sales and service facility in Warsaw, Indiana. With 20,000 square feet of space, the increased warehouse capacity allows Vested Metals to stock a broader range of materials and greater inventory levels, as well as offer advanced processing capabilities.
