Betts Precision provides precision 5-axis grinding capabilities in-house, offering the ability to grind surgical cutting devices such as straight, tapered, step, and ball end reamers, along with the ability to grind complete surgical drills, step drills, and spot face drills. We can also grind surgical taps, rasp and broaches for all orthopedic procedures.

Betts Precision’s precision CNC Turning services utilize 15 high-precision CNC turning centers with an average age of 2.5 years. Most of Betts Precision’s CNC Lathes are multi-spindle, multi-turret models with the capability to machine two distinct parts concurrently. We have specialized CNC lathes with live milling to completely machine complex parts in one operation.

Betts Precision’s precision CNC Milling services utilize state-of-the-art machining centers, including 10 horizontal and vertical milling machines, specialty and prototype milling machines. Our CNC mills include full 5th axis and integrated 4th axis capabilities, high pressure coolant systems and spindle speeds up to 14,000 rpm. We utilize pallet changers, tombstones and other quick-change fixtures and tooling to reduce set-up and production cycle-time. These advances improve quality, throughput, and machine/operator utilization.

Betts Precision offers gun drilling services with a gun drilling diameter range of 0.039 to 0.75 inches (1.0 to 19.1 mm). Betts Precision’s Eldorado M75 is extremely versatile, and features slide travel options up to 48 inches (1219 mm) long, allowing the machine to tackle the most challenging deep hole jobs.

Betts Precision has made a commitment to provide our customers with short-lot manufacturing resources, customs/specials, and engineering support. We have dedicated resources staffed by a highly experienced team of journeymen machinists.

Our capabilities help our customer engineers move new projects from concept to reality. Conventional and conversationally programmed CNC equipment provides a quick set-up environment and the flexibility to run smaller manufacturing lots. Our manufacturing engineering staff and lead men can provide our customers valuable feedback to optimize designs, improve manufacturability and yield.

We are well-positioned to transition a pilot program from prototype to production while minimizing cycle time and risk.
