UNITED GRINDING Group signed an agreement to acquire GF Machining Solutions (GFMS) with the aim of strengthening its position in the market and serving its global customers with even more comprehensive solutions. Together, UNITED GRINDING and GFMS will join forces in ultra-precision machining. The transaction is valued between CHF 630 and 650 million and is expected to close in the first half os 2025, subject to regulatory approvals
UNITED GRINDING provides machines for grinding, eroding, laser and measuring, as well as machine tools for additive manufacturing. It boasts roughly 2.000 employees at more than 20 manufacturing, service and sales locations.
GF Machining Solutions is one of the world’s leading providers of complete solutions for manufacturers of precision parts and tools, as well as mold and die makers. Its portfolio includes machines for milling, eroding, laser texturing, laser micromachining and additive manufacturing. In addition, GFMS offers spindles and solutions for automation and digitalization, backed by global customer service and support. The group currently employs around 3500 people at over 40 global locations.
