
SpiTrex Orthopedics announced that Brett Gopal has joined the team as Senior Vice President of Operations. Brett brings to SpiTrex improvements in lean manufacturing, automation, and continuous improvement to services.
A native of Chennai, India, Brett came to the United States to study at Western Michigan University and then earned an Executive MBA from the University of Maryland. He began his career at Orchid as a Quality Leader and later a Plant Manager, and he also spent six years at Smith & Nephew as Senior Director of Global Operations. He has 16 years of expertise in operations, lean manufacturing, and sterile packaging from his work in the medical device industry. Brett has also consulted for various industry bodies and is in demand as a speaker on all manner of medical device subjects.

His industry knowledge and leadership will be a welcome addition to our senior leadership team. Brett is responsible for working with our sites to improve efficiencies, drive down costs and improve our lead times, which are already industry-leading.
