Precision Edge Surgical Products is the recipient of the Automation of the Year award from parent company Marmon Holdings. The award recognizes companies and projects that leverage innovation to drive their businesses forward.
Precision Edge is a global provider of contract manufacturing services for orthopedic instruments.
The company received this award by implementing five automation projects in 2021 with a significant investment in equipment. More are scheduled over the next several years with specialized and often custom equipment and technology, designed for high-precision tolerance medical manufacturing. The company notes that the execution of their automation strategy not only helps them remain competitive through process improvements, but also assists in supplementing labor challenges that face all industries.
“It is exciting to be a part of a company that has such a strong commitment to technology advancement that will provide sustainable growth to our business,” said Jordan Verdelli, Automation Engineer. “It truly gives us a sense of pride and security that we can remain a competitive leader in our markets. Having our employees buy into our culture and automation push has been extremely rewarding. This would not be possible without the entire team’s effort.”
