Interstate Plastics (IP) is restructuring its two branches in Birmingham, Alabama, effective September 2016. The company seeks to increase logistic efficiency and customer responsiveness by offering machining and inventory functions in a single location.
Presently, IP’s inventory location stocks niche and commodity plastics like ABS, Acetal, Acrylic, HDPE, UHMW and other performance plastics, while its machining location offers routing, beveling, counter sunk holes, hole drilling and other custom machining and fabrication processes. (Medical Grade Propylux® HS, a heat stabilized polypropylene rod used primarily in orthopaedic applications, is just one of the company’s offerings and is offered through collaboration with Westlake Plastics.)
The new Birmingham location will continue to serve markets throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. The new address will be announced in a separate release later this month.
