CoorsTek Medical announced a 5-year, multi-million dollar capital investment program to support growing demand for ceramic hip replacement components and hip arthroplasty solutions. The investment supports a 20-fold production expansion of these products that employ CeraSurf® medical-grade ceramics.
The CoorsTek Medical CeraSurf alumina matrix composite is CE-compliant and substantially equivalent to the latest generation material used in ceramic hip implants. Since 2011, more than 7,000 CeraSurf heads and acetabular liners have been sold worldwide.
