Ranfac Corp.® launched its “Double” Bone Marrow Aspiration system (patent pending). This instrument allows users to aspirate marrow in small draws in a measured and controlled manner from the area closest to the inner bone endosteal surface, an area abundant in mesenchymal stem cells. The needle’s design only allows aspiration through the side holes of the needle cannula. This technique is expected to reduce the risk of peripheral blood contamination, which can occur when operating a traditional bone marrow aspiration needle. (Source: Ranfac Corp.®)
