Austen BioInnovation (ABIA) and St. Vincent Charity Medical announced a Strategic Innovation Partnership, initially focusing on orthopaedics, to pair engineers with surgeons in support of product development to answer unmet clinical needs. Participation is open to industry, health and educational systems. Engineers will partner with surgeons in the OR to identify potential solutions, and ABIA will continue the process with market analysis, regulatory strategy, prototyping, testing, etc. (Source:Â Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron)
