Orthoplastics welcomed John Devine as its new Managing Director. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the global medical device and biomaterials sectors, and expertise in commercial strategy, innovation and operational excellence.
John succeeds Rodney Crooks as part of a planned leadership transition at Orthoplastics. Rodney will return to the U.S. to take on new responsibilities within the wider business. Further details will be shared in due course.
John will lead Orthoplastics through its next phase of growth, with a strong focus on strengthening customer partnerships, driving innovation and continuing to deliver world-class implantable-grade polymer solutions to the orthopaedic industry.
Before joining Orthoplastics, John was Managing Director at Invibio. He led the company’s PEEK-based medical manufacturing operations, including additive manufacturing. While there, he expanded the business into important international markets and grew the biomaterials unit to record revenues.
John also strengthened collaboration with key customers, expanded sales within strategic accounts and improved service and quality across multiple geographic regions. Before Invibio, he held several senior leadership positions at Victrex, including Medical Business Unit Director, Emerging Business Director and Strategic Marketing and Technology Director.
Orthoplastics thanks Rodney Crooks for his leadership and contribution to Orthoplastics during his time as Managing Director and wish him every success in his new role.
