Cretex Medical, provider of contract medical device manufacturing and engineering services, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Atemisa Precision in Alajuela, Costa Rica, where the company provides machining services to the medical and industrial sectors. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year.
Cretex Medical’s mission is to make it easier to get their customers’ products to patients. By integrating Atemisa’s precision machining expertise with Cretex Medical’s newly constructed facility in Cartago, Costa Rica, the company will strengthen its local, vertically integrated capabilities, including advanced machining, molding, laser processing, and assembly.
“The planned acquisition of Atemisa is a strategic investment that strengthens Cretex’s global presence and underscores our long-term commitment to Costa Rica,” said Jeff Wollerman, CEO and President of Cretex Companies. “Atemisa’s reputation for excellence, deep local experience, and strong customer partnerships align perfectly with Cretex’s culture of continuous improvement and customer focus. Together, we’re expanding our capabilities and scale to better support our customers’ growth and success for years to come.”
