Croom Medical Wins Irish Medtech Partner/Supplier of the Year

Croom Medical, contract manufacturer of orthopedic implants and medical devices, was awarded the Medtech Partner/Supplier of the Year Award at the 2023 Irish Medtech Awards. The award ceremony, organized by the Irish Medtech Association, Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland, recognizes the excellence and innovation of the Irish Medtech sector.

Founded in 1984 in Co. Limerick, Croom Medical has become a trusted partner for numerous medtech OEMs, helping them increase their production capacity, improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs. The company is also prominent in additive manufacturing, investing heavily in a skilled team, state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technologies to enable customized and efficient production of orthopedic implants.

Croom Medical has experienced rapid growth since 2019, expanding its team from 45 people in 2021 to 170 in 2023, and investing €12 million to enhance its manufacturing capabilities.

Most recently, Croom Medical’s R&D team achieved a significant milestone with the release of its first Titanium and Tantalum-based orthopedic implant prototype. This development positions the company at the forefront of orthopedics manufacturing globally, offering lightweight, high-performance implants designed to enhance patient outcomes and bolster market competitiveness.
