Precision Medical Technologies Expands Facility

Precision Medical Technologies (PreMedTec) announced the expansion of its Rome City, Indiana manufacturing facility, along with a planned remodel. The additional 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space along with improvements to inventory holding, receiving areas and plant layout is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2Q23.

“The 15K square feet obtained and currently under remodel is long overdue. This space will allow PreMedTec Rome City to continue to grow and add additional manufacturing equipment.” PreMedTec president Ryan Thornburgh said.” The expansion and remodel will also give PreMedTec Rome City an opportunity to reorganize equipment currently on the shop floor and improve the overall flow of product. Improving safety, quality and efficiency all at one time.”

Precision Medical Technologies Warsaw announced the addition of a Doosan mill/turn and two auto-loading Cobots for the Warsaw location. The additional equipment is expected to be on-site in the beginning of March and will be operational and validated by April 1.

“The new Doosan solves a capacity constraint, and also improves our capability offering to our customers.” Thornburgh stated. We are seeing more complex geometries on implants and this machine will allow PreMedTec to be more cost effective and efficient for our customers. The additions of the Cobots will aid in pushing our production and spindle up time to 7 days a week.”
