Lincotek Group has appointed Andrea Colombo as its new CEO. Colombo will succeed Winfried Schaller and assume responsibilities on September 5, 2022.
Winfried Schaller has played a vital role in a key transitional phase for Lincotek. Under his strong direction, Lincotek has become a global leader in its respective market segments and has more than doubled its size via acquisitions and organic growth, and expanded its global footprint, especially in the USA.
Schaller said, “The years have been full of challenges, but have also brought a lot of satisfaction. It certainly wasn’t always easy, but with passion, resilience and a great team, it was a pleasure to realize our vision. The time has now come for me to face new challenges and I leave this group with the knowledge that this will be again a new beginning of the next phase in the growth of Lincotek. I am proud to have led the group through this transition and hand over this responsibility to Andrea with a sense of nostalgia and also of gratitude. I would like to thank my team, the owners and our partners and customers for all the support during those years.”
Andrea Colombo brings more than 25 years of international experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas and FinTech industries. Colombo comes from NCR, where he was the Vice President of Global Product Operations. Prior to NCR, he held the position of Vice President of the Energy Business Unit at Chromalloy, and earlier spent 14 years with General Electric Oil & Gas, managing businesses of increasing size up to $3.5 billion in annual turnover.
“We are very excited about Andrea joining as the new Lincotek CEO. His proven leadership and global perspective will be the perfect fit for Lincotek’s next chapter,” said Linda and Nelso Antolotti, owners of the Lincotek Group. “The experience Andrea has developed during his career will be a key asset to drive first-class customer service while growing Lincotek business worldwide”
During his career, Colombo developed strong skills in project management, supply chain operations and P&L management, as well as business development and M&A. He also developed critical leadership skills leading large, diverse global organizations around the world.
“I am thrilled to join the Lincotek family and I am humbled to lead the organization into its next chapter,” said Colombo. “I am impressed by the technology Lincotek has developed over the last five decades, the level of quality achieved in servicing its customers around the globe and I am proud to be part of a very ambitious team that want to play a critical role in the future of the medical, energy and aviation industry.”
Colombo received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universita’ di Padova, Italy together with his post-graduation Master in Engineering for Nuclear Energy before entering the Electrical Engineering Ph.D. program.
