United Performance Metals Announces New Additive Manufacturing Solutions Center

United Performance Metals (UPM) unveiled its new additive manufacturing solutions center in Hamilton, Ohio.

The center provides new stainless steel, nickel and titanium build plates customized to any size or machine, the company reported. UPM provides end-to-end supply chain solutions for the additive manufacturing market. It also offers closed-loop refurbishment of existing build plates through additional milling and grinding and wire EDM build plate removal.

“We are thrilled to launch our new innovative additive facility as it builds on our history of providing specialty solutions and services to the most innovative companies in the world,” JJ Johnson, General Manager of the new additive facility, said. “We have been working hard over the last two years to build this facility and the feedback from customers has been incredible. We are humbled and honored with the customer response and are adding resources and capabilities to meet their evolving needs.”

In 2018, UPM achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, an international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. Companies use the standard to demonstrate their ability to manage, monitor and consistently provide quality products and services. In 2020, it achieved ISO 13485:2016 certification from NSF International Strategic Registrations. It allowed the company’s South Windsor, Connecticut branch to provide materials and processing services for the medical industry.
