Empirical Technologies Acquired by ATS

Applied Technical Services announced the acquisition of Empirical Technologies Corporation as a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Empirical Technologies specializes in testing medical implants for efficacy using their mechanical testing expertise, as well as helping manufacturers gain and maintain compliance with FDA regulations. Their consulting expertise has helped with over 200 successful 510(k) submissions to date.

In 2018, Empirical Technologies celebrated 20 years in business, growing from a single employee testing medical devices in 1998 to a full-service family of companies that employs 33 team members, supporting 38 test frames and 10 CNC machines.

Dawn Lissy, President, and the Empirical team will remain with the company, continuing to operate independently from their location in Colorado Springs, Colorado. There will be no interruption in service or reduction in customer care.
