MCRA acquired Vorpal Technologies, K.K., a leader in Japan in regulatory, reimbursement, clinical study management and importing/Designated Marketing Authorization Holder services.
Below is a brief overview of Vorpal’s track record:
- Vorpal’s team is made up of bi-lingual/bi-cultural experts with strong English-speaking skills and extensive experience in helping foreign companies navigate the Japanese market.
- In 2021, Vorpal secured 7 Class III and Class IV Shonin approvals (reportedly more than any other consulting firm this year).
- Vorpal secured 4 new category premium reimbursement listings and currently have 4 ongoing programs. To give some context about our activity and visibility in this field, Japan only issues between 10 and 20 new category reimbursement listings per year.
- Over its nine-year history, Vorpal has obtained 49 approvals, most of which are high risk-category, new and innovative medical devices.
The partnership will allow MCRA to offer clients a single partner for implementing a global commercialization strategy across the US, EU and Japan.
