
Orchid Orthopedic Solutions announced that Lourdes De Cardenas Alfonso joined the company as Chief Quality, Regulatory and EH&S Officer.
Ms. De Cardenas Alfonso comes to Orchid from Medical Card System (MCS), where she held the role of Executive Vice President of Innovation. Prior to MCS, she held manufacturing and quality leadership roles at Stryker, Patheon-Mova, Eli Lilly, Bristol-Myers Squibb and IPR Pharmaceuticals. She has 30+ years of experience in quality control, regulatory affairs, technical services, business development and operations. Lourdes has a reputation of partnering with operations to deliver high quality products to the customer.
Ms. De Cardenas Alfonso earned her B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics and Humanities from the University of Puerto Rico and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Chemistry from Purdue University.
