MedTorque Continues Expansion of Quality & Regulatory Team

MedTorque, a supplier of standard and custom instrumentation to medical device OEMs for orthopedic and spine surgery, announced today that Brian Bedford has returned to MedTorque to lead their Quality & Regulatory activities associated with on-boarding of customer NPI programs.

Bedford has 10 years of experience working in contract manufacturing of medical devices. He was previously employed at MedTorque as a Senior Quality Engineer and worked with their largest OEM customers during that time. “I am very excited Brian was open to returning to MedTorque. When we created this role, Brian immediately came to mind as someone who had the kind of experience and skills we needed”, says Pam Chlebek, Director of Quality & Regulatory. “I know how well respected he is by our Customers, Suppliers, and his teammates and am confident he will have an immediate impact on how we review and address the numerous quality requirements of the complex projects we are involved with.”

“We continue to be the choice of major OEMs to produce their high precision, complex instruments used in robotic assisted, and navigated surgeries. This requires we develop manufacturing strategies, including quality protocols that assure we are keeping pace with the intricate nuances involved with those instruments. Having a Quality Manager focused on new product introduction is another one of the pieces being put in place and further demonstrates our commitment to make the investments needed to support our Customer’s increasing demands,” explained Chad Ryshkus, VP of Commercial Operations.
