The OEM orthopedic M&A market remained active in 2020 with 42 transactions completed, according to our tracking. Stryker’s acquisition of Wright Medical, Smith+Nephew’s acquisition of Integra LifeSceinces’ orthopedic business and Medtronic’s acquisition of Medicrea were the three largest based on publicly-announced transaction values. In looking at market segments as a whole, spine is clearly the most active market.
