Instrumental Machine & Development Expanding in Warsaw

Instrumental Machine & Development (IMD) plans to expand its facility in Warsaw, adding up to 34 jobs by 2022. IMD specializes in orthopedic instrumentation, sterilization trays and accessories.

“Today’s announcement is about adding the people, equipment, and floorspace we need to grow alongside our nationwide customers,” said President Todd Speicher. “IMD has come a long way in our nearly 30-year history, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead to serve our clients and their surgeon customers.”

IMD opened in 1991 and moved to its current location in 2005. The company has 36,000 square feet of space, and will add more than 26,000 square feet. Ninety-eight employees support U.S. customers with offerings of specialized design, development and manufacturing capabilities, with an emphasis on custom instrumentation.
