PrinterPrezz Establishes Co-Location Center to Accelerate Additive Manufacturing of Medical Devices

PrinterPrezz partnered with UCSF Surgical Innovations, a medtech incubator/accelerator at UC San Francisco, to bring advanced medical devices to market faster. The partnership includes:

• A co-located innovation facility at PrinterPrezz that provides engineering and manufacturing access, along with an open ecosystem of hardware, software and engineering to facilitate the commercialization of new ideas
• Access to the expertise of UCSF clinicians, engineers, trainees and administrative staff and their knowledge of clinical needs and product performance specifications
• A platform to protect UCSF intellectual property (IP) and jointly develop new IP

Serving the orthopedic industry, PrinterPrezz’s Medifacturing™ approach employs a suite of 3D printers, 3D manipulation software and 3D scanners as well as advanced manufacturing processes and surgeon education programs.
