SIG Medical received FDA 510(k) clearance (K183317) for its enhanced AdvantageRib System, featuring additional implants to address the entire spectrum of bone quality and modifications to existing implants to enhance surgeon experience.
In limited market release, the minimally invasive AdvantageRib has been used to treat over 50 rib fractures within two years. Full U.S. launch will occur within 1Q19.
This marks the third rib fracture 510(k) that SIG Medical is commercializing, having received its first 510(k) clearance for AdvantageRib in 4Q18.
