Oxford Performance Materials Launches OXPEKK Custom Compounds

Oxford Performance Materials, provider of materials for high performance additive manufacturing (HPAM™),  launched OXPEKK® Custom Compounds for medical and other industries.

The products are based on proprietary poly-ether-ketone-ketone (PEKK) formulations with a specific combination of processing and performance attributes that offer attributes such as:

• Robust mechanical performance
• High purity
• Gamma stability
• Superior fatigue performance

OXPEKK Custom Compounds are available in pellet and extruded semi-finished shapes, graded as OXPEKK®-MG (Medical Grade for non-implant applications) and OXPEKK®-IG (Implant Grade for implantable devices), and are tested against ISO 10993 standards, demonstrating safe use in permanent implant applications with bone and tissue contact.
