Citoxlab acquires AccelLAB Clinical Research Organization

Citoxlab acquired AccelLAB, a Canadian clinical research organization specialized in the pre-clinical assessment of new medical devices. The move complements Citoxlab’s core business that focuses on drug development.

AccelLAB was founded in 2004 with a focus on development of new cardiac stents, valves, pacemakers, etc. Its services were recently enlarged to other specialties such as orthopaedics, Ear, Nose and Throat and dermatology.

AccelLAB is staffed by ~100 employees, and its facilities include operating rooms, laboratories, a medical imaging department (scanning and MRI) and clinical pathology and histopathology laboratories. Following this acquisition, Dr. Guy Leclerc remains the Managing Director of AccelLAB.
