Bactiguard and Vigilenz Medical entered into a license agreement to develop anti-infective coated orthopaedic trauma implant sets serving the Asean region (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia & Laos).
The implants will be coated by Bactiguard, while Vigilenz will manage the CE Mark process and clinical trials. Bactiguard will receive royalties upon product launch.
The Bactiguard® product consists of an extremely thin noble metal alloy with antimicrobial and biocompatible properties. The physical and chemical properties of Bactiguard coating make it applicable on any medical device.
