Resonetics Acquires Mound Laser

Resonetics announced its acquisition of Mound Laser and Photonics Center, a provider of laser micro manufacturing of precise metal components to the medical device industry.

The transaction allows Resonetics to expand its current focus on polymers and glass, adding competencies in laser welding, cutting, machining and expertise in ultrafast laser technologies. The company also plans to introduce new, proprietary tools to assist device designers in creating smaller, complex products.
