LayerWise Metal 3D Printed Devices Used in Pioneering Facial Reconstruction

LayerWise collaborated with PDR to manufacture “perfect-fit” patient specific 3D printed titanium implants to support a pioneering facial reconstruction procedure. Digital 3D printing technology was able to support successful maintenance of the accuracy of precise medical imaging data, pre-op planning and implant design. Specifically, the digital process enabled production of a 3D printed implant and fixation plate in a single manufacturing step, within a couple of hours. (Source: LayerWise)
