Holmed Announces New Disposable Torque Limiters and Innovative Ball and Cam Torque Technology

Holmed Corporation introduced a new line of disposable, “one per case” torque limiters that are designed to accommodate existing handles and driver bits while providing surgeons and spine vendors the highest confidence of always being in calibration. These products will be debuted at the 2012 AANS Scientific Meeting in Miami, April 16-18.

For reusable torque instruments, the patented pending “Ball and Cam” technology provides longer and better performance compared to traditional “spring and ratchet” torque mechanisms. This translates to torque instruments that stay in calibration longer.
