Marle International Buys ATS-Sferic

Marle International, a contract manufacturer of orthopaedic implants, acquired ATS-Sferic, a medical casting business.

The transaction creates Europe’s largest implant contract manufacturing business offering a complete range of orthopaedic implant products and services across all major joints, including hips, knees and shoulders. The company sells to both large manufacturers, such as Zimmer, Biomet and smaller vendors.

Based in Ales, France ATS is the second-largest independent medical casting company in Europe with a workforce of 120. Sferic is a machining company servicing mostly orthopaedic clients in France and Europe. Headquartered in Menars, France, the company has around 93 employees.
